For most parents, their worst nightmare involves the abduction of their child.  At a time when most parents can only offer a photograph and a description to help investigators locate their child, we offer two options to provide parents and investigators with another tool.

WHAT IS DNA BANKING?

DNA Banking entails collecting your child's DNA via a cheek swab and storing it for 15 years under secure, climate-controlled conditions.  The parents are provided with an identification card and certificate reflecting the child's name and banking number, as well as our contact information in the event that the sample needs to be retrieved.  Through these means the DNA sample can easily be accessed and provided to investigators to assist in the identification and/or return of your child as soon as possible.

WHAT IS DNA PROFILING?

DNA profiling entails collecting your child's DNA via a cheek swab, creating a report listing the genetic profile of the tested party and mailing the profile to the tested party or their legal guardian to keep and store at their discretion..  Through these means the DNA profile can easily be retrieved and provided to investigators to assist in the identification and/or return of your child as soon as possible. As the samples are not stored at our lab, the cost for a profile is less than a banked sample.
