MEET THE FORMER DIRECTOR OF LONG BEACH GENETICS
JOHN TADDIE, PhD, long time Director of locally renowned LONG BEACH GENETICS, is now Director of the Orange and Los Angeles County service center and Chief Scientific Officer for DNA Services of America, which he joined following the acquisition and subsequent closure of Long Beach Genetics in 2005. Dr. Taddie has over 13 years of experience in DNA testing for paternity, family relationships, and human identification, including nearly nine years with Long Beach Genetics. He has supervised over 150,000 DNA paternity and family relationship tests, has reviewed over 45,000 individual DNA test cases, and has testified as a DNA expert in over 40 California civil and criminal court trials involving cases of child support, custody, probate, welfare fraud, immigration, sexual assault, incest, and homicide. At DNA Services of America, Dr. Taddie is committed to providing the same superior quality of legally-defensible DNA testing, customer service, and education for which Long Beach Genetics was known.
Dr. Taddie presents frequent lectures on DNA testing to legal groups, medical associations, and government agencies throughout Orange and Los Angeles Counties and California. He has been an invited speaker by organizations including the Orange County Department of Child Support Services, the Orange County Clinical Laboratory Management Association (CLMA), UC Irvine Medical Center, USC School of Medicine, the California Welfare Fraud Investigators Association, the American Red Cross, and Legal Secretaries, Inc. Dr. Taddie is approved by the State Bar of California as a provider of educational activity for California Minimum Continuing Legal Education (MCLE) credit, and offers education on DNA Testing free of charge to attorneys in both the public and private sector.
Dr. Taddie is a member of AABB and a former voting member of the AABB Parentage/Relationship Testing Standards Program Unit, the team of experts that establishes the internationally accepted Standards for Parentage/Relationship Testing Laboratories. In this capacity, Dr. Taddie was a contributing writer to the 6th and 7th Editions of the AABB's Standards for Parentage/Relationship Testing Laboratories. He received his B.S. in Microbiology from Penn State University in 1986 and his Ph.D. in Molecular Biology from Cornell University in 1992.

We are located in Santa Ana at the corner of 18th and Bush Streets (one block northeast of 17th and Main). We are just off the 5 Freeway and easily accessible from the 22, 55, 57, 91 and 405 Freeways.
From the North: Take your favorite freeway to the 5-S. Take the Broadway/Main St. Exit, followed by the Main St. South Exit, in Santa Ana. Take a right onto N. Main St., go approximately ¼ mile, then turn left onto 20th St. Go one block and turn right onto N. Bush St. Go one more block and turn right into the parking lot of the Santa Ana Family Medical Center.
From the South: Take your favorite freeway to the 5-N. Take the 17th St. Exit, turn left onto 17th St., go approximately ¼ mile, then take a right onto N. Bush Street. Go one block, then turn left just past 18th St. into the parking lot of the Santa Ana Family Medical Center. We are on the 2nd floor of the medical center.
